This past October, H.E. Tulku Yeshi Rinpoche was pleased to travel to Vietnam to conduct a varied teaching program across Vietnam. He was very happy to connect with and spend time getting to know his wonderful and dedicated students. The adventure began in Hanoi, where he was able to facilitate an auspicious fish release, completed together with the Dharma Sangha. Next was a series of Empowerments and corresponding Teachings. It was great to see that many Sangha members had requested and then took Ngagpa Vows. Rejoicing for our new Vietnamese Ngagpas and Ngagmas! The Yuthok Nyingthik Ngondro and Guru Yoga texts were translated into Vietnamese so that Sangha members may diligently practice. At this time, Rinpoche opened Trulshik Ling Dharma Center and now his students are working on establishing Medicine Mandala Healing Center.

Next, Rinpoche traveled to a few amazing places, getting to know the beauty of Vietnam. He visited Phat Tich pagoda in Bac Ninh province, Viet Nam and Tây Thiên Stupa. Before departing Hanoi, Rinpoche gave Refuge vows to precious Sangha and visited Big Lake, Buddha Temple.

Now came the next destination of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Sangha took Rinpoche to Ngọc Ấn Tòng Lâm temple and mountain Núi Trà Cú. These places were filled with the pure, luminous essence of the Buddha. At Ngọc Ấn Tòng Lâm temple, Rinpoche performed a powerful Fire Puja. Soon afterwards, Rinpoche’s Sangha family very generously donated food to 500 people. This was such a special time!

Next was another live animal release, this time both fish and frogs with his Sangha in both Hanoi and Saigon! This was followed by some sightseeing and mantra recitation on the breathtaking beach. Now was the time for the Ho Chi Minh City Sangha to receive Teachings, this time the Tummo and Trulkor Teachings. This was a perfect way to end this significant experience. Thank you to the Vietnamese Sangha for their hospitality and devotion. May we dedicate the merit of this visit to all sentient beings so that they may find true happiness.
